Version 3 is a complete premium photo library and creative suite — date repair is still the foundation, but layered on top is everything you need to turn a chaotic archive into a library you can actually use: face recognition, metadata search, automatic Memories, Family Trees, a Collages & Carousels design studio, Screen Capture, and one-tap Sharing. One clean library out of phone dumps, SD cards, old drives and Google Takeout archives — including the albums, original filenames and captions Takeout carries. Then Memories by date and album, offline search by person, place, camera, caption or date, and a People Manager you name someone in once.

Profiles — more than one library in one PDR
Up to three separate libraries on one license, each with its own photos, dates, faces, trees, albums and drives, and nothing in one visible from another. The library you already have becomes your first profile, in place, with no file moved. 3.0.5 to 3.0.8 before it were external‑drive, licensing and indexing fixes.

The date on the photograph
A camera with a databack burned its date into the negative and you could never get it back off again. PDR draws it over the photograph instead, in your country’s date format, so you can change your mind: the pixels underneath are untouched and switching it off leaves no trace. One tick box in the grids; in a collage it is per photo, in any corner or anywhere you drag it, at any of ten sizes. Any single photo can now be opened in a blank collage, and Ask PDR is there when you arrive rather than waiting to be found.

The long pages read aloud, and the truth about the AI download
The current Windows 10 and 11 release. PDR’s five long information pages can now be read out loud, by a voice from your own computer, with the line being read marked as it goes — a player you can drag anywhere in the window, which opens on the best voice your copy of Windows has rather than the first one it lists. Separately: face and object recognition arrives as a download the first time you ask for it, and four screens described it as “~300 MB”. It is 577.73 MB, and all four now say so — that figure is the whole basis on which somebody on a metered connection decides whether to start. While it runs there is a progress card showing the size, how much has arrived and a bar that moves once instead of restarting on every file. It stays with you as you move around PDR, rings the completion bell when it finishes and waits for you to close it.

Find any photo in seconds — search by date range, GPS location, person name, camera model, or any metadata field. No more scrolling through thousands of files to find a single moment. Type what you remember; PDR finds the photo.

PDR automatically groups photos by the people in them. Name a person once and PDR finds them across your entire library — across phones, clouds, years, and devices. The AI model runs entirely on your computer and never connects to the internet.

Parallel Structures
One Master Library, many custom views. From the same source files, PDR can spin off as many parallel libraries as you need — a chronological timeline, a Holidays archive, a folder-per-Family-member, a Friends collection, a Pets album, a Documents-only view, a Nature portfolio, an Architecture folder, a Relationships archive.
