1. What PDR Is

Photo Date Rescue is a Windows desktop application for rescuing, organizing and using a personal photo and video library. It repairs missing or incorrect capture dates and rebuilds the library around them, and it includes tools for working with the result: search, on-device AI (face recognition, captions, background removal), family trees, collages and carousels, screen and webcam capture, printing and PDF export, and sharing to a phone or to another application. Your media is processed locally on your own computer.

What we provide:

• a free web demo, limited to photos in a ZIP file of up to 200 MB,
• a free desktop trial — the whole Version 3 suite on up to 2 devices, with a lifetime usage cap on each feature,
• paid monthly and yearly subscription plans, for use on up to 3 devices,
• a lifetime license, for use on up to 5 devices, available for immediate purchase and use.

PDR runs on Windows 10 and 11. A macOS release is a stated target and not a commitment; nothing in these Terms promises it, and no plan entitles you to it.

2. User Responsibilities

Users:

• are strongly advised to create a full backup of their photos before using the app.
• must ensure they have the legal right to process any images,
• must use the app responsibly and for lawful purposes,
• must keep their license key secure and private.

PDR is not responsible for accidental data loss caused by user error, corrupted files, unsupported formats, or unbacked-up data.

3. Software License Terms

When you purchase PDR, you receive a non-transferable, single-user license. You may:

• install and use the license on up to the number of personal devices belonging to you permitted by your plan,
• request support via email if activation fails.

You may not:

• share, sell, lend, or gift your license to another person,
• resell activation keys,
• reverse engineer, copy, or distribute the software.

Unauthorized sharing or resale of licenses may result in license deactivation and may be pursued as a breach of intellectual property law.

4. Lifetime License

The lifetime license is available for immediate purchase and use. Any visitor can buy it directly — there is no paid billing cycle or prior subscription required, and there are no eligibility conditions attached to it. We recommend trying the free web demo or the free desktop trial first to confirm compatibility and workflow, but this is optional and not a condition of purchase.

“Lifetime” means the lifetime of the product: a one-time payment covering the Version 3 desktop application and the feature releases we ship for it, with no recurring charge.

5. Payments

All payments are processed securely through Lemon Squeezy (our merchant of record). You agree that:

• Lemon Squeezy handles billing, receipts, and tax collection.
• Prices are listed in the currency shown at checkout.
• As merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy determines and collects any applicable VAT, GST or sales tax at checkout based on your location.

6. Refund Policy

Refunds are governed by our separate Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

7. Limitation of Liability

Our software is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, PDR is not liable for:

• loss of data,
• indirect or incidental damages,
• corrupted or unsupported files.

Users must maintain personal backups and test the demo before purchasing.

8. Marketing Consent

If a user consents to marketing during checkout, PDR may contact them about updates, offers, or new products. Without consent, communications will be strictly limited to transactional emails (orders, receipts, support).
